Cami of Sigri

This cami has been a church since 1928 and is called "Agia Triada". Sigri was a small
village, abandoned in 1581, and reconstructed due to the rebuilding of the castle of
Sigri in 1757. The cami was probably rebuilt shortly after the earthquake of 1867 in
Lesvos. It is in very good condition. This cami was built by the Greek craftsman Giannis Demiris who also built the cami of Eresos.
The Ottoman fountain of Sigri is also here.
